From the time the first layout was done to the time the T954 El Gabilan was distributed to you, the student body, the El Gab staff has given freely their time and efforts. From the time Sharon Axe had to work like made to get the first section in on time to that last day in April when the final section went to press it was work, work, and more work. Taking pictures, doing layouts, selling ads or planning the El Gab assem- bly all took time and work. There were moments when we were almost sure there would never be a '54 El Gab, but along with the discouraging moments there were the encouraging ones when people like Sharron Wolf or Anna Jean Morris got their sections in on time But itwas not all work The press conference at Stanford in October the parties and volleyball game with Flashlight singing Do your ears hang low? to Jerry teasing Andy and Jimmy about all their pictures and finally the preview party were only a few of the highlights for the staff To Mr Hamburger who gave so unceasingly of his time and ideas and without whom we would never have completed the El Gab l would like to express the thanks of myself and the entire staff for being such a wonderful advisor To the staff who co operated with me not only on their individual sections but on the El Gab as a whole I would like to express my appre ciation and to say you did a terrific iob To you the students I say this is your T954 El Gabilan It took a lot of work but we are proud to present it to you We hope every picture and every page has some memory for you of the year T953 54 Katherine Copeland Editor of El Gabilan Because of their work in taking developing and printing the pictures which make up the 54 El Gab we present to you first the El Gabilan senior photographers if , Gary Gerbrandt Juan Callao ' f . . . . . ,, I ,, . . . . - 1 1 ' I I I I - I I - I I ' , . 1 , .
