Graduation The 1975 Seniors saw their last year of high school come to a close Friday night, May 23, with the gra- duation ceremony beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Salina Athletic Stadium. Although bad weather was antici- pated, the evening proved to be beau- tiful. Quite appropriate for the gra- duation of the 339 young men and women who constituted South's lar- gest class ever. The commencement speaker, L. D. McDonald, delivered a very motiva- tional address. His talk, entitled g'Where from Here, brought an emo- tional standing ovation from both the graduates and audience. The class of '75 received their di- plomas from members ofthe Board of Education as senior class president, Mark Huebner, read the names, while at the same time adding a bit of his own humor. The ceremony was followed by a late night party held at the Lam- pliter Club. A large percentage of the class attended and gave many a toast to their past years and the years to come.
