The hilce to Riverside and a Columbus Day Voyage were the first of a series of good times that reached aclimax in the Mothers' and Daughters' Tea in April. The social service of the clubs centered around its Thanksgiving and its Christmas gifts of food and clothing. Members collected childrens, magazines for the Americanization Center and made scrapbooks and planted bulbs for hospital gifts. Responsibility was the idea behind the weekly meetings of the Roosevelt Junior Hi-Y clubsg conse- quently every boy was given a chance to assume and carry out some definite part ofthe club's work. The responsibilities included planning and securing pro- grams for the weekly meetings, taking Part in some phase of the program, acting as hosts and guides to visitors, and performing various other duties as they presented themselves in the school's activities.
