Eight delegates from the class attended a jour- nalism cenference at Lawrence. An outstanding activitv of the class was the newspaper exhibit and tea held in the staff-room during Educational Week. journalism students gained a better and a clearer understanding cf the news as published in the daily papers and the experience in carrying out special kinds of news service, such as interviews, human interest stories, and features. The 1936 Trail makers were fifteen represen- tative seniors who spent their activity periods plan- ning and building the Trail. Anna Marie Miller, assisted by Willierta Montgomery and LeRoy Fink, were the editors, Fink giving most of his time to the advertising section of the book. Doris Nelson act- ed as the able copy managerg Laura Lee Waring sponsored the snapshot pages. The features were contributed by Margaret Mae Crawford. Junior Boughtcn wrote the sport stories.
