THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The following people were elected to the National Honor Society this year: Seniors: Robert Truscott Virgil Cowen Virginia Siriug James Jay Mary Burgess Berniece Pringle Blanche Ollie Young CPrez'i01zsly elcctedj Junior: Gertrude Guyton Q- LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club was lirst organized in 1931 under the direction of Miss Ethelalice Scott, but this year it was started on a new plan of a permanent group of eleven members. By this plan the graduating Seniors are replaced by Sopho- mores. Freshman will not be eligible after this year, and the members must be ' h in t e upper fourth of their class in scholarship. The members do most of the desk work, keep the books in order. and meet once a week for instruction in library service. .-Xt this meeting they are taught the proper care of books, classi- fication. cataloging, and library methods. lfach day some member of the club is at the desk before and after school, and during every period. The library for its size. has a hne reference department, and one of the chief aims of the club is to make the library more accessible for the students.
