But now that you are about to leave these hallowed walls you will sense a certain sadness in the parting. After having put so much of yourself here, you cannot leave without feeling that a part of you still remains here at Salesian High School. We the faculty also feel this same sen- sation, for we feel that by our work and effort we have tried to give you something of ourself in order to prepare you to face life in its reality in t±ie outside world of everyday. We have each exchanged some valuable experiences. I hope we have both grown richer by them. In this sense we have been both teachers and students simultaneously. As you bid us farewell, we hope your thoughts will often re- call the pleasant moments you experienced at Salesian. We on our part wish you the best of luck, happiness and success in whatever venture you embark upon as your career. Remember that the world lies open before you, ready to be conquered. Your life is yours and it is now up to you to form it, to shape it as you will. We have prepared you to our best ability for this life venture. Make the best of it and become something in this world.
