LEFT: Danny Martin gets the tip-off. BELOW: Arniondo Guillen goes in for two points. THE SEASON The 1971-72 basketball team was very inexperienced. Eight of the Iwolve members were juniors, and three of the four seniors had litlle or no varsity playing experience. We were not able to sustain a winning attitude throughout the year. Players who were elevated to the first string became compla- cent, and thus the lineup continually changed. We did not have any size, and we lacked quickness and consistent shooting. Frank Carreon, a three year letterman, did receive All-League recognition. But this was the only highlight of the season. Next year we hope for a more successful season with dedication from otir eight juniors and several junior varsity players of this year. N.
