Homecoming 1971 Inspirational is the best word to describe the 1970-71 Salesion Varsity football team. Because of a rare combination of players, coaches, and desire, the Mustangs overcame the many problems of a team to achieve a winning season of 4 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie. %y far the most cherished victory was gained when our Blue, Black, and White Mustangs journeyed to our home field to meet our arch rival. Cathedral, and returned with a decisive victory. In reality, we gained more than success, for a new spirit was born that will hopefully lead us to new triumphs.
