'Ly' In September, 1953, there were 19 members in our freshmen class: Kenneth Gott- fried, Georgia Gatchell, Joyce Frank, Jerry Karg, Rose Ann Weaver, Earl Weaver, Dolores Shumaker, Russell Gottfried, Mollie Shearer, Roy Laudenslager, Genevieve Nachbar, Basil Moses, Mark Davidson, Marilyn Byrd, E1aineGohl, Nancy Traxler, Sandra Morrison, Wilbie Rowe, and Robert Gatchell. Mrs. Greenwald was our class sponsor. When we returned in September, 1954, there were only 18 members in our sopho- more class. Mollie Shearer left us. Mr. Schoeppner was our class sponsor this year. Our junior year found us with only 17 members. Elaine Gohl left us, Our class sponsor was Mr. Hamman. At last, our senior year. There are 15 members in our class. Georgia Gatchell, Genevieve Nachbar, Sandra Morrison, Joyce Frank, Rose Ann Weaver, Nancy Traxler, Roy Laudenslager, Wilbie Rowe, Earl Weaver, Kenneth Gottfried, Robert Gotchell, Jerry Karg, Mark Davidson, Carl Tiell, and Basil Moses. Dolores Shumaker, Russell Gottfried, and Marilyn Byrd left us and Carl Tiell joined us. Mr, Hamman was again our class sponsor. Through all the 12 years in Salem, Joyce Frank, Sandra Morrison, Nancy Traxler, Wilbie-Rowe, Rose Ann Weaver, Roy Laudenslager, Earl Weaver, Kenneth Gottfried, and Jerry Karg made the trip together. 4, .Tfatplzecq Log record of road tests of the new atomic automobile motor I invented. May 1, 1971-I decided a visit to my classmates would be a good test for the motor so I left for Detroit to visit Wilbie Rowe. May 2-Arrived in Detroit and went to the Ford plant where Wilbie crash tests the new models, he says that the job is a rollover. He invited me out to lunch where I met his wife, the former Rose Ann Weaver, and their six children. May 3-Left for Wisconsin to visit Kemieth Gottfried. On the way I was arrested for speeding. I was going 120 in a 100 mile per hour speed zone. When I arrived Kenneth took me on a tour of his dairy farm. He's married now and he says that it has sure been a long pull getting here. May 4-Arrived in Kansas and went to Mark Davidson's farm. He claims that he likes farming, but it's a corny business, May '7 -Got to Washington today and went to see Joyce Frank and her husband. They own a sizable chicken ranch even though Joyce hates them, May 8-Arrived in California today and I visited Jerry Karg. He owns the west coast branch of the Karg Construction Company. Their motto is We Work Every Other Day. While in California I visited Nancy Traxler who is a teacher in a very large school. Whenl arrived she was practicing with her bull whip. I left shortly. May 10-Went to Reno to visit Carl Tiell. Carl owns a place called Carl's Club, He says that things are really going around. Robert Gatchell was in Reno right then, sol went to visit him. He had just gotten back from a World Evanglism Tour and I agreed with him that Reno was a good place to finish. May ll-I'm in Texas now, solstopped to see Sandra Morrison and her husband. They own a small fby Texas standardsj cattle ranch Qwith a few oil wells as a side linej and are doing quite well. May 13-While I was in New Orleans I met Basil Moses who is now a CPA, the one that checks on the other CPA's. May 14-I went to Florida to visit Georgia Gatchell and her husband. They own a large fleet of fishing boats. May 15-Arrived in Virginia and went to visit Earl Weaver. Earl owns alarge string-bean plantation. Said that he needed company. May 16-After a short drive to Washington D,C. to visit Genevieve Nachbar and her husband, who is now the Senator from Ohio, I started for home. 16 days: Miles traveled: 18,236: Test: a success.
