XVe set sail once more for a longer voyage with ample provisions for a smaller crew. Some men have been called for duty aboard the flag-ship of our country. The threatened storm has unleashed itself in blind fury upon the world. Sheltered by Salem Harbor and quiet homes we cannot know the sea's temper beyond the horizon-the shores that we shall touch. Despite the murky Clouds, however, we see faint glimmerings of the sun-a good sign of clear and better days ahead. The CLIPPER of 1942 is sturdy -her crew is young and healthy. High hopes and strong faith are manifested on every face. Nlindful of the heritage of our United States of America we pray to God that we may be worthy of Continued sailing under our Hag.
