Wilma and Hilda think two verses of Li'l Liza Jane is not enough so take it upon themselves to sing the third. Every one Hunks on a French test. Rats from R. C. Scrub our steps in front of the school. First reports are given out. HN. D. in Seniordom. Teacher: You don't mean you have forgotten that? Sukie: No, I haven't forgotten it, I just can't think of it. Girls' Club is selling yell books and megaphones for Roanoke game. Tests galore. We showed Roanoke High she would have to be eight times as good as she is now before she could beat us fifty points in foot- ball. A few girls go to Roanoke to get ads for the Oracle. Another one of those numerous changes in schedules. Class rings come. Football boys have to play Danville. Coach Kibler gives report of game. Although we were defeated 7 to 6, our Team played a good game. Miss Ewart Cin English Classj : Which is the most striking scene? Mary Lewis: I think the most striking scene was the fight. About ten Seniors have to stay in until nearly six o'clock. Miss Ewart fat beginning of Classl: I don't want any such behavior to-day as we had in here to-morrow. First meeting of Lyceum was scheduled for 3 230 o'clock this after- noon, but no one appeared. Everything moves on as usual. Neighbor's roosters seem to have a crowing fit during French Class. Mrs. Coon is making the Latin pupils promise not to use Hponeysf' Poor Chickens! Exam. on Solid Geometry. S. H. S. wins over Christiansburg High School in football. First Lyceum meeting. A union called The International Association of Oppressed School Boys is organized. C372

Subject: Setting examples. We organize our Class. Three people speak to us in Assembly about the Chautauqua. The Athletic Association is reorganized. We decide to 551.00 membership fee. We have an addition to our Classg Paul Thompson from West Virginia. Athletic fees are being raised nicely. Seniors over 75 per cent. Holiday until Monday. Swell! I All kinds of Ring Men visit us. Schedules all changed. We have only forty-minute periods now. We sign contract for rings. This is the seventh year S. H. S. has bought rings from Auld 51 Co. Mr. Cool says all right one hundred and thirty times during Physics period. Physics test. The only question which we knew was, What is density? Seniors I00 percent. for Athletic Association. Physical examinations begin. Nothing of importance. Great explosion of cologne in English Class. First day of Physics experiments. Initiation of new members in the Girls' Club. Big excitement the seventh period: Anne swallows her chewing gum. Punk day. Another new Senior, John Cannaday. Everything goes wrong. Detention Hall filled to over-flowing. until have H961

Nov. 23 Civic pupil: Who was elected to the Senate from Georgia, the man or the woman? Miss Duncan: The man was elected, but the woman was seated for 22 hours. Nov. 24. We realize more and more that Physics' tests will cause our down- fall. I Nov. 27 Second reports given out. My! but they are good? ? I I Nov. 28 A world amateur champion typist gives us some demonstrations this morning. Nov. 29 Second meeting of the Literary Society. Out for Thanksgiving! Dec. 4. Back to school and hard at it again. Dec. 5. We elect some to the Who's Who in Senior Class. Dec. 6. lVlr. Richardson speaks to us in Assembly. Dec. 7. Joe actually threw a piece of ice across the room. Will wonders ever cease? Dec. 8. Some of our fellow classmates are very sad and depressed looking. We learn that a few of the college boys are on props, Reckon there is any connection? Very suspicious. Dec. I I. I-Iarmon's condition seems much improved after taking his medicine so regularly last week. Dec. IZ. Glee Club practicing for an entertainment. Dec. I3. Day of horrors! Every one mad. Dec. I4. Teachers are exceedingly stingy with demerits. One of them gives only 23 to-day. Dec. I5. Operetta quite a success. Dec. I8. Everything as dull as ever. Dec. I9. Civics Exam. Dec. 20.
