Always get up late and then take your time going to school-other wise will get there on time. Congregate in cloakrooms and halls whenever possible. Cut classes when suitable. Clive teachers a rest from studying next clay's lessons. Never come to school without something to eat. Don't miss a chance to get a demerit. Be sure to talk when it will annoy your neighbor. Never bring a book to study hall. It's too much trouble. Always express your feelings freely to every member of the Faculty. Throw chalk whenever possibleg great aid to doctors if good shot. Always bring your Physics to Chapel. It's such an aid to the speaker if all is quiet. If caught chewing gum, swallow it, and thus save a trip to the trash can. Take doorknobs off and hide erasers when the opportunity occurs. Talk as much as possible in classes-improve your conversational powers. Skip school when convenient-teachers will appreciate same. Drop all the apparatus in Physics I..ab. whenever possible--noise is good for the eardrums. Seize every available chance to misplace lVlr. Webb's note book- affords more time for pep meetings in Chapel. ' C391

HE, WHO'S WHO CLUB of the Salem High School Seniors Q V of Z3 is composed of very -famous people. In a class of Seniors Ceikgsj as dignified, as bright, as witty as the present one, it is a difficult task to decide on the membership of the Who's Who Club. Mr. Martin announced that nominations were in order for the most popular girl and boy. Each one began to speculate as to who they might be. How- ever, every one was satisfied when they learned Miss Anne Thompson Oakey and Mr. Frank Vest were chosen. Oh! yes, each and every one of the Class of '23 is good-looking, but we at last decided that Miss Wilma Cross was our prettiest girl, and Mr. Seabrook, Brookie, Harveycutter our best-looking boy. Mr. F rank Vest was chosen as the best athlete. It grieves us very sorely, but, nevertheless, we must confess that our very laziest member is Letcher Hall. Our Class is, without question, the smartest that ever passed through the doors of dear old Salem High and we should all like to claim the honor of being the most scholarly. But we have decided to confer this honor upon Miss Sarah Goodwin. Miss Goodwin is also our optimist. Mr. Vest seems to like to take all the honors, he is our most original mem- ber. We are a very dignified Senior Class Cas all Seniors are?J but our Miss Dignity is Miss Dorothy Densmore. Mr. Chandler Martin's place will not be disputed. He is our most sarcastic member. There can be no possible error in our electing Mr. Joe Kinzie as our Bus- iness Man. We are one hundred per cent. if you ask us about our School Spirit, but Miss Emma Webber takes the honor as having the most school spirit. Another honor which each girl would like to have had was The best all- round Senior Girl. Miss Wilma Cross is the winner. We will not dispute over the place as the biggest grouch. We willingly surrender this to Mr. Irvin Moyer. And last, but not least, Miss Hilda Deyerle is our Flapper. We also believe that Miss Deyerle has us all beat when it comes to being a good Bluf- fer. 6332 '
