She is one of those rare people who has a pleasant smile for every one and her sweet disposition has held our love and friendship through- out our high school days. Joe is one of those odd combinations of good humor and good brains so hard to find and so pleasant to meet. What would our Class have done without him? As Class Treasurer, he excels all and his management of the store shows what a good business brain he has. joe has shown theatrical ability, also. He is an all-round good fellow and we wish him success. Virginia H 'Tis well io be merry, willy and wise. During Letcher's four years at S. H, S. he has amassed quite a vocabulary in English as well as in French. We are often startled by his verbal lluency and strange jumble of words. His ever ready wit has proven to be the salvation of his classmates in many trying times. Buzz is always busy, although his undertakings are usually petit. We do not know what Letcher expects to do, but if he takes as much interest in his life's worlc as he does in carrying papers on Broad Street we know he will have a successful future. Truly lVlabel's hair is bright, but the lamp of knowledge shines with such a gleam upon her brow as to dim even the lilmy brilliance of her crown of glory. Mabel is always ready to take part in all school activities. Her bright disposition has won her many friends. Her fate is not clear. Such a stuclent as she surely ought to continue at some line college and take her degree. What she will do still remains in obscurity, as all prophecies. One of the most popular men of the Senior Class-and his popularity extends further than the High School. Red has shown loyalty to Salem High by his untiring elforts on the Held, on the stage ancl in the classroom. As Business Manager of the Oracle, he is unsur- passed. We wonder why he so greatly admires brown eyes and black hair? Red's motto is, Girls and studies will not mix. Moral: Cut out the studies. We are sure Red will succeed in all he undertakes. This is indeed Mary Lewis. She is one of the most beloved members of the Class of '21 She has dedicated all to the bettering of her mind, and with what great success her classmates can bear witness. But somehow she always has the time to help a fellow classmate. To be an object of love and admiration is an honor that never comes underserved, and the place that Mary Lewis holds in the hearts of her classmates as well as in those of certain members of R.
