It is the opening of the new high school which will take place in January, 1976. In addition to the actual planning and work on the building, a great deal of time and preparation was spent by the high school staff in task forces to plan the physical move, set up a new schedule for staff and smdent assignments, student identification and orientation for parents and smdents. This was a benefit to the high school administration and central office in making the transition from the old school to the new school as smooth as possible. The organization of the new school is completely different and a distinct departure from the traditional high school mold. It consist of three houses of approximately 700 students per house. Each house is a school within a school contained on one of three identical floors. In addition, there is a unified arts area which houses physical education, industrial arts, home economics, art, music and career education. These areas are open without wails, and increase the possibility of teachers and students working on projects which combine talents and creativity from several areas. The science labs are also open
