This space in THE WITCH is usually devoted to a message from our Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Peter F. Carbone. Illness has prevented his contributing the words of inspiration and accom- plishment. In place of his annual message, however, we, the Class of ' 58, wish to pay special tribute to this honored educator. His efforts in behalf of the education of the youth of Salem, and the en- couragement and achievements of the teaching profession, mark him as a dedicated leader in the community and the world of education. Mr. Carbone, we, the Class of ' 58, wish you continued success in all your endeavors. MR. CARBONE Superintendent of Schools Congratulations to the Class of 1958. Your senior year has witnessed marvelous scientific advancement. The age of man-made satellites is now a reality. Your future opportunities will be even greater. Be prepared for them. Good luck and best wishes for continued success to all. JOHN M. CONWAY Director, Vocational High School
