Besides teaching the BASIC principles of Mathematics» the math department does much more for those students that continue in it. It develops a mind to be analytical. In the advanced phases of mathematic study, students learn the fundamentals of shape. They then go on to learn the different applications of algebra and some students even find out the BASICS of computer programming. The senior courses develop the mathematical mind to the fullest and prepare it for college. Mathematics is one of the most important fields in the world of tomorrow, and the student with insight can see the advantage of learning as much about it as possible. 26

Biological sciences deal with the study of life and the living organisms around us. In this field of science, a student learns how to classify plants and animals and is also taught the basic structure of these organisms. The physical sciences deal with the natural occurring events around us chat do not pertain to life. They teach a student how to grasp the idea that the air we breathe and the pressure exerted on our bodies affect us. They start from the simple structure of an atom and lead a student into a capacity of understanding energy itself. The field of science is one of the fastest growing fields today, and students who hope to continue in this learning experience will find it to be the true field of the future.7’ 28
