RIGHT: Irene Gbur— Librarian; BELOW: Janice Mditshka — Treasurer These people act as the cement that holds our school together. They keep us organized, informed, and up- to-date. Without their help, our school could very easily turn into an enormous, disorganized heap. Their usual, friendly smile lets one know that any situation has a bright side. Without the patient co-operation of these people, many simple student activities could be suspended. For example, what would many students do if they had to spend all their study time in study hall? The library serves as a place where students can get away from the tension of classes and put themselves into a more relaxed atmosphere, a vacation in the middle of a hard day. The services of all these people are vital to school life. 22 Helen Heim — Head Librarian

Richard Stoffer — Counselor ABOVE: F, E. Cope — Athletic Director; RIGHT: Anita Rossi — Counselor John Ol Ionian —Counselor The job of the counseling staff is to counsel students and help them decide what to do with their lives. They may lead a student down the road to college, or down another road — to a productive occupation. Counselors main job is to see that students take the classes that will best develop them for their future. Whatever problem arises in the school life of a student, counselors will usually step in to help out that student as much as they can. They are the mediator of most disturbances. The athletic director is in charge of much more than just making out sport schedules. He must regulate the school’s sports activities in such a way as to not interfere with the educational development of the athlete. His job takes more than rime — it takes dedication. 23
