Senior Class Officers Gretchen Bodendorfer, Secretary-treasurer, Mervin Thomas, Vice president, Richard Gleckler, President. l amp 14 mf ehcumdlance ' The school year for 1952-1953 draws to a close and the time is near when another Senior class will walk through the portals of Salem High for the last time. The time has passed when they are able to participate in football, basket- ball, track, band, orchestra, chorus, and the other high school activities. No longer are they members of the Spanish Club, Quaker Staff, Slide Rule Club, Varsity S, or Hi-Tri. Only memories remain-memories of the hilarious production of the senior class play, Our Hearts Were Young and Gay , of the fun they had at the ball games, of the various assemblies they enjoyed, of the good times? at the class parties, of the class meetings presided over by their popular advi- ser, Chester Brautigamg and of the glamorous Prom that the Juniors planned as one of the highlights of the past year. And if in future years they may want to revive the memories of this igvoliderful time, they will Hnd them all set to music in the pages of this oo . 20
