if if if if M1940 V To the two hundred and r r V five graduating seniors, the past four years have held a great number of delightful ex- periences. They will cherish not only the memory of pleas- ant social contacts which their high school years have af- forded them, but also the memory of disappointments which have given them the experience needed in facing life. The Class of 1943 has been engaged in a wide variety of activities which have de- veloped their special abilities Margaret Stewart, Secretary-Treasurerg Dick Beck, Vice- and given them recreation President: Jim Schaeffer, President. and association Others having the same interests. Always showing exceptional ability in raising funds, the seniors finished their high school careers with a very creditable treasury. All the financial ventures of the class, from the sale of pencils in their freshman year to the management of a refreshment stand at Reilly field this year, were highly successful. The executive leaders of the class during the last year were as follows: presi- dent, Jim Schaeffer 3 vice-president, Richard Becky secretary-treasurer, Peggy Stewart. Other members of the class who have served as officers are Allen Fehr and Ed Cavanaugh. The dramatic presentation of the Class of 1940 in their junior year was Murder in Rehearsal, directed by James McDonald. In the senior year the class gave Keep Off the Grass, directed by Miss Viola Bodo. The two extra-curricular activities in which the largest percentage of the class participated were athletics and music. Taking an active part in the athletic program of the school were a large number of senior boys participating in interscholastic sports, besides another large group of players on intramural athletic teams.
