H. M. Willianzs LM Jllczude Har! EDUCATIONAL Mr. H. M. Williams, completing another suc- cessful year as principal of Salem High School, is a man respected and admired by each and every student. He plans the assemblies We all enjoy, the parties, dancesg in fact, everything that makes high school days the happiest times in one's life. He makes out the schedules and arranges for the clubs and other eXtra-curric- ular activities. Mr. Williams is one person Without Whom We could never get along. ir The best friend and most Willing servant of every Salem High school girl is Miss M. Maude Hart, the dean of girls. Along with her regular duties, Miss Hart finds time to contact each senior girl to help her select the proper voca- tiong and she is always Willing to do what she can to straighten out any difficulties that may arise in the lives of any of the girls. Her friendly guidance has helped many a co-ed over some of the rough spots on the road of life. ir fzoj

Presiding with dignity over all the Salem City schools, Mr. E. S. Kerr is a Well-known person to all Salem High students. He has had much experience in the field of education, serving as a teacher, principal, and superin- tendent in Oliio schools. Mr. Kerr blelieves that the constant advancement of education is necessary for the purpose of building strong and reliable citizens. With this in mind, he has set a fast pace for advancement in Salem schools. 'A' Mr. Lewis Smith, dean of boys, has a thorough understanding of the problems of teen-age boys and has Won their lasting respect and admira- tion with his just treatment in dealing with their misdemeanors and his sound solutions to their problems. A well-liked member of the faculty, he has interested himself particularly in athletics and has furthered such inter-ests as touch football and intramural basketball. A clean mind and a sound body for each growing boy is the aim of Mr. Smith. 'A' E. S. Kew' Lewis Smith
