It can furnish an opportunity for the pleasurable learning of much about the Romans and their civilization for which there is not sufficient time in class It can also give an outlet to the dramatic instinct, and at the same time strengthen correct pronunciation of Latin. Another thing that a club of this sort does IS to open to the pupils a new world of books about the Romans and Greeks, and help to develop in them an appreciation of anclent art and lgzerature. Sodalitas Latina has enjoyed a very interesting and profitable year under the capable leadership of the club's officers and the faculty adviser. Miss Horwell. The officers were President, Daniel Weber, vice pres 1dent, Salma Liebschner, secretary treasurer, B111 Bowling, program chair man, Sara Spiker. At the bi monthly meetings the club had many interesting pro grams. A study was made of Roman customs, dress and homes. A bright future faces the members of this enthusiastic group. -A-'N A V ,K f Aff A , . V Q L 4 -- .L ,: ,J-V x be , vw ' -' Af! f' f - ' -f rv -- r 5 ' ' - 1' .' 'I' Mi 'V' ' A' ' ,.
