Junior Class History As Freshmen we started out with a bang! and oh, how we have keut up that spirit! We started out with due modesty and with only twelve people in extra-curricular activities and all of these featured in athletics. The next year we had a great many more to prove that we were climbing the ladder to class fame. We furnished the football squad with George Konnert Ed Sidinger and Jim Scullion All this has been indeed praiseworthy but this year has far sur- passed the two pr ceding years and has told what we are capable of do- When the call came everyone was ready and here s what we have done The ofiicers ti is year are James Sculllon President James Win gard Vice President and Helen Williams Secretary Treasurer ATHI ETICS The Jumois who featured in football are James Scullion Captain elect Fd Sldinger George Slm Early Herman Litty Fred Guilford Robert Boob Nan Blaricom Arnold Seeds Ed Shilling Chadles Linton Charle Herron Wade Hoople Loop and Fred Filler Jumor Manager These Juniors wore the red and black on the basketball squads Ed Sidlnger J1m Scullion Herman Litty Ed Shllllng Fred Guilford James Wlngard Robert Cope George Konnert Melba Barnes Captain elect Bei tha Kent Betty Moss Maude Buck Adelalde Dyball Elizabeth Riddle Margaret Carnes Ruth Eakln Mary Older Lorene Jones Wade Loop Florence Davis and Helen Shelton Jumor managers Those who upheld the class honors on the track squad are Roland Thomas Alfred Brantmgham Robert Van Blaricom Frank Scott Arnold Seeds Ed Shilling Herman Litty Ed Sidlnger Raymond Knepper Charles Neverduskv Fred Guilford Charles Herron Robert Horstman Ronald Hutchinson and William O Neil Jumor manager OTHER ACTIVITIES Dorothy Fuller Ada Lottman Nathan Harris and V1rg1n1a Callahan are tooting and sawing their way in the orchestra and We are surely proud of hai mg, them there These people are partially responsible for the rexlx ed interest in de bate Floience Davis Elura Roessler and Virginia Callahan Helen Williams claimed second place 1n both the essay contest on Life Insurance and the Oratorlcal Contest on the Constitution of the United States Then there IS the social life The first class party was a masquerade Ray Flnneran the dear little flapper girl was the most comical the colonial lady Adele Treat wore the most beautiful costume and Nathan Harris s ldea for a Chinese mandarin netted him first place for the most original Our second class party was an equal success the main feature be ing square dancing.
