SHIRLEY BROWN As a teacher at Salem for 5 years, she has taught French I, II, Il, IV. Mrs, Brown sponsors the French Club and inspires learning with a trip to the Biltmore Estates, GENE CABANISS He has his way with the women . . . sponsors the Drill Team! With three years at Salem, he teaches World History, U.S. History, and has been our Guidance Counselor, WILTON DAVES A graduate of Salem who now coaches our Varsity Basketball team and Baseball team. 14 BENNIE BLACK Mrs, Black is always there to guide us to bigger and better horizons. In her four years of counseling at Salem, she has always shown interest in the students. CHARLES BRIT TAIN Although he is only here for two periods each day, he is well known among the Salem students, As ICT teacher, he guides those students seeking industrial employ- ment, He sponsors the VICA-ICT Club. MILTON BRITTAIN During his eight years teaching at Salem, he has been a hard worker for the school and for the students. He teaches Construction and Carpentry, and he sponsors the VICA Club, Last year, as coach of the Girl's Softball Team, he led the team to win the Western Piedmont Conference,

16 ROBERT HARBOUR In his three years at Salem he has shown much interest in the school, He sponsors the SGA, and he has been the photography advisor to the Annual Staff. He teaches Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics, Ibe, Take, OLS UOTN) Our Boss of five years at Salem High. He has guided us through difficult times, and many thanks go out to him for his patience and understanding. CLAUDE HOYLE Mr, Hoyle has been a faculty member for 14 years. He teaches General Math and Girl's Physical Education. Also, he is coach of the Girl's J.V. and Varsity Basketball teams.
