Homecoming The week of October 9-13 was filled with Homecoming festivities. We began our week with Kick-off Day and the Cheerleaders selling candy footballs. Tuesday, everyone wore black and gold for Spirit Day. Chosen most spirited were Connie Cook and Ray Smith. Hat Day, Wednesday, was next with Mr. Pat Hoyle and Mrs. Betty Sinden as our most original teachers. Becky Ramsey and Gary Stroupe were honored as the students having the best hats. Thursday came with our Mystery Students and the Bonfire that night boosted the spirit for our game. Friday, our activities lasted all day beginning with a 50-minute Pep Rally and exhibits being judged at 2:00. The game began at 8:00 and the Homecoming Court activities were at half-time. Chosen as our 1972-73 Homecoming Queen out of 27 girls was Anita Bradshaw escorted by Ernie Giles and Maid of Honor was Kathie Harbison escorted by Allen Curtis. After the game Stillwater played for our last Homecoming Dance which turned out to be one of the best! RIGHT: Tigers battle Greenwaves during Homecoming game. 124
