LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Senior Class of 1951 being in full possession of all our mental facilities, do hereby devise, bequeath, and convey all our various earthly possessions to the persons hereafter mentioned, to be held by them in undisturbed possession through the length of their mortal spans. To the world at large we will a large amount of what it sorely needs—our native common sense. To the Principal and faculty, we will our ability to know a good thing when we see it. As this ability has been largely created under their instruction, we merely return to them their invaluable gift. To the members of the Junior Class we will a large amount of what it sorely needs —our native common sense. I, Eva Belle Benton, will the A’s on my report card to Odell Janyes, in hopes that he will improve his. I, Haskel Buff, will my ability to ride pretty girls around in a Ford to Richard Brittain. I, Clyde Young, will my Chemistry knowledge to Jack “Brains” Mull, hoping that someday he will be a chemistry professor. I, Fritz Brittain, will my extra helping of grub in the lunchroom to Jimmy Carswell, in hopes that he will grow a little more. I, Faye Turner, will my ability to play basketball to Ann Hoke, hoping that someday she will be an expert. I, Eva Franklin, will my small feet to Margaret Evans. She sure needs them. I, Nancy Sparks, will my dancing ability to Leon “Penny” Shuping. I, Lena Williams, will my ability to study to Billy Hawkins, and wishes for him to use it wisely. 1, John Obie Carswell, will my ability to giggle in classes to Jimmy Rader. I, Charlie Dale, will my baseball ability to R. V. Bradshaw. I, Landres Williams, will my curley hair to Louis Fisher, in hopes that he will straighten things out. I, Pauline Prewitt, will my quietness to Helen Mooney, who knows just how to use it. I, Elsie Miller, will my dark hair to Julia Parker. I, Ann Ollis, will my love for Gardner Webb students to Greta Clarke. I, Anne Walker, will my position of collecting money in the lunchroom to Rebecca Jean Garrison. I, Ardie Houck, will my typing ability to Steve Clarke. I, Maxine Causby, will my ability to sling out chow to Doris Jean Garrison. I. Anne Duckworth, will my love for pretty clothes to Jean Bollinger. I, Thelma Shuping, will my ability to ask questions in class to Joan Bollinger. I, Leonard Johnson, will my pestering ways to David Melton. I. Nick Dale, will my place on the skating rink to Margaret Brittain. I, Billy Lane, will my Hudson to Kenneth “Red” Williams in ho pes that he will take better care of it than I have. I, Charles Anderson, will my good looks to Dwight Clarke. I, Pauline Orders, will my love for the Air Force to Barbara Duckworth in hopes that her beau will someday wear as nice a suit. I, Grace Rayburn, will my place on the Annual Staff to Annie Sue Lane. To the rest of you Juniors who didn’t receive some of our able abilities, I personally take the opportunity to leave you our seating arrangement in the auditorium.
