T i l Qtr! Reserves HH Girl Reserves or Blue Triangle was organized early in the fall to take the plan ofthe Sunshine Society. Membership is open to any girl in high school and at present there are more than sixty members. The purpose as found in the constitution is to iind and give the best. The girls are very enthusiastic over the organization and are planning for a great work next year. The oHicers are: President, Hallie Persinger, Vice-President, Katherine Emery, Secretary, 'Wilma Chaney, Treasurer, .Ioycie Fultz, Chief Advisor, Miss Troth, other advisors, Miss Bush, Miss Allen, Mrs. J. L. Tucker, Mrs. O. P. Frick, Mrs. C. A. Robertson, and Mrs. Arthur McClintock, Yell Leader, Helen Persise, Song Leader, Mar- garet Kelley. At the beginning 2 ' Z of school in 1925 there were eleven members, and now there are I.: thirty-four. Nlembership is elective and only those are voted into the ' - ii y club who will try to uphold the standards that Hi-Y sponsers. -- -i - n D , I . - This year the club has done some Wonderful Work. Under the .H - i leadership of jesse Hardy, President, the boys sponsored a Clean 5. Speech and Good English Week the first Week of the second semester. The annual lfather and Son banquet Was the largest and most success- im ful banquet the boys have ever given. More than three hundred T fathers, sons and a few invited guests Were present. The assembly T room of Salem High School has been kept cleaner of paper this year largely through the elforts of the Hi-Y boys. Their aims are to live clean, speak clean and promote good things for our school. M They have their Weekly meeting every Monday and their monthly meetings the last VVednesday of each month. Though not boast- gg ing as large a membership in the school year of 1925-1926 as in that 3 of IQ24.-I925, the Work ofthe club is very good. Each of the students 3 X strives in every Way to make the club better and its Work of a higher Y 0 quality. 'P n - The regular meeting time of the club is the assembly period on -1 - iifi VVednesday' mornings. Though having but twenty minutes for each : Q JZ. meeting all the boys have had their voices tested and are enjoying the .3 . i Work thoroughly. 5 l During the past years the Glee Club has furnished musical talent ll!!! f- 111'11s.f-hl H Md N - ll!!! oi many oca as we as many sc oo entertainments an has always acquitted itself in a creditable manner. Much of the material from , which our play managers and entertaimnent committees secure their characters for dramas, minstrels, and musical programs comes from the T l glee clubs.
