This is the third national and lirst interna.tional contest of the kind to be held in the United States sponsored by the Bar Association. Those speaking 5555 5525 in the school contest March 20 were Waive De 211: Haven, Edward Rhetts, Katherine Emery, George Graves, Maysel Jackson, Elsie McGill, Orley ,fi + VVatts, and Dewey Bowling. All of them spoke 1, on 'cThe Constitution except the last who spoke on Lincoln and the Constitution. First place , was awarded to Edward Rhetts and second to 7 Elsie McGill. i 0 . In the county contest March 21, Salem and Monroe Township High Schools competed for 0 honors in which Edward Rhetts again won first 2 place and an award of 525. 4, , The Third Congressional District contest was held in Lyon Hall, April 21, in which eight 4 - , 4 counties were represented.
