Rob Smith. Tony Garrison. Jason Weber For the fourth consecutive yeas the Wildcat Cross Country Team captured the Conference Championship. The Freshman Sophomore team also won the title. The Cats finished sixth in the Regional Tourney. The overall record was 150-46. Four Salem runners made the top five in the All-Conference Team. Terry Goodin was named first in the NEC and also received the Most Valuable Runner award. Brent Smith. Joe Shetley. and Darren Wolff were also named to the 1st team. Cindy Weible ABOVE: The girls must be prepared to perform in a different style for outdoor events. RIGHT: The cheerlead- ers perform one of their award winning mounts. 18 Cheerleaders The 1985- 86 cheerleaders were a great inspiration to the teams. They cheered them on through rain and snow. The girls placed first in the Salem Invitational Tournament. They also placed first at the Centralia Hohday Tournament, but were disqualified because of a mount violation. One difference this year was that the sponsor was from outside the school. Mary Martin coached the cheerleaders.
