Rob Smith. Tony Garrison. Jason Weber For the fourth consecutive yeas the Wildcat Cross Country Team captured the Conference Championship. The Freshman Sophomore team also won the title. The Cats finished sixth in the Regional Tourney. The overall record was 150-46. Four Salem runners made the top five in the All-Conference Team. Terry Goodin was named first in the NEC and also received the Most Valuable Runner award. Brent Smith. Joe Shetley. and Darren Wolff were also named to the 1st team. The team brought home a 1st place from the Regionals and 4th place in the Kaskaskia Tournament. They ended the season with a record of 12 wins and 5 losses. The team had a rebuilding season after losing all but two players to graduation. The Varsity team was composed of one senior, 10 juniors, and one sophomore. The Junior Varsity was a large team consisting of 11 freshmen and 8 sophomores. They ended the season with a record of 11 wins and 6 losses.
