Don Roberts. Craig Morton. Randy Larson The SCHS Golf Team had a very rewarding '85 season. In regular play they ended the season with a 14-4 record. In invitational play they placed 3rd at Granite City and 7th at Centralia. Then they went on to place 1st in the NEC for the third year in a row. The Wildcats finished 9th in the regional tournament. Among all the fine team mem- bers, a few stood out. Tony Malan was awarded Most Valuable Play- er with an average of 39.6. Craig Liddle was awarded Most Im- proved Player. The team brought home a 1st place from the Regionals and 4th place in the Kaskaskia Tournament. They ended the season with a record of 12 wins and 5 losses. The team had a rebuilding season after losing all but two players to graduation. The Varsity team was composed of one senior, 10 juniors, and one sophomore. The Junior Varsity was a large team consisting of 11 freshmen and 8 sophomores. They ended the season with a record of 11 wins and 6 losses.
