Fast Times A t Fish When the yearbook staff began looking for possible themes for this year’s yearbook, it seemed like it would be a long year. We went from soap names to cereal box covers, but when movie names were mentioned things began to roll (if you will pardon the pun). After producing the theme, the next problem was to link it with the academic life at SCHS. We had to take into consideration everything from every day “Fast Times at Salem High” to more special events, such as “Prom Night,” to come up with “All the Right Stuff’ it takes to make a memorable yearbook. Publishing a memorable yearbook is similar to producing an award-winning movie. Funds are always hard to come by. Fortunately SCHS has many loyal advertisers. Deadlines are a constant nemesis. Photographs must be taken, developed, and printed. Copy must be written and rewritten. Pages must be designed. Finally, after editing and proofreading, the completed work is sent to the publisher. After approximately twelve long weeks, the long-awaited publication is distributed. In spite of a few critical reviews, the staff feels a sense of accomplishment. So sit back and relax and take a glimpse at the “Fast Times at Salem High.”

Watching movies together can be exciting and fun. Of course, it depends on what you re watching! Inside the Camera is not the most interesting film. That’s obvious by this photo of the SALEMARION Staff. FIRST ROW: Sharon Vlahovich, Rhonda Maxey, Shari Mahon. SECOND ROW: Randy Schultz, Kim Gillis, Joy Monroe, Lynn Murphy, Beckey Morris. THIRD ROW: Mike Garner, Nancy Shoemaker (asleep), Deanna Atteberry (not paying attention), Sharon Frankland, Kim Cash, Don Dowds, Steve Kern, Teresa Wilson, Jim Beasley, and Becky Gibson (hiding). Late for the film were: Alan Waggoner, Brad Russell, Chu Ok Lee, Karin Gray, and Tammy Casner.
