Wishing Do you wish the world were better? Let me tell you what to do: Set a watch upon your actions, Keep them always straight and true; Rid your mind of selfish motives. Let your thoughts be clean and high. You can make a little Eden Of the sphere you occupy. 2 Do you wish the world were wiser? Well, suppose you make a start By accumulating wisdom In the scrapbook of your heart. Do not waste one page on folly; Live to learn, and learn to live. If you want to give men knowledge, You must get it, ere you give. 3 Do you wish the world were happy? Then remember day by day Just to scatter seeds of kindness As you pass along the way; For the pleasures of the many May be ofttimes traced to one, As the hand that plants an acorn Shelters armies from the sun. by Ella Wheeler Wilcox Whose woods these are I think I know Mis house is in the village though. He will not see me stopping here To wateh his woods fill tip with snow 'l he woods are lovely, dark, and deep Hut I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep Administration Faculty Seniors Juniors Sophomores Freshmen Organization Music Sports Features Dedication Roland F. Autenrieth Each year the Salemarion staff chooses someone to dedicate their annual to. This year the staff has chosen a man who means a great deal to them as well as to the entire school. Mr. Autenrieth has been a teacher for thirty-eight years and has been teaching in Salem for the past twenty-seven years. During the past several years he has taken pictures for our annual. His co-operation, leadership, and understanding manner has been unsurpassed by any other. Our deepest thanks to you, Mr. Autenrieth, for being such a great help.
