iJMMMM We look deeply into the eyes of classmates for the first time, and see reflections of onr own moods. e hear our own feelings expressed in other voices, see in other nervous hands, indications of common frustrations. We see taut faces and clenched hands, and self consciously relax and unclench our own. We do not know, anymore than our classmates, how to relieve inner tensions — it is not ejiough that our feelings, moods, tensions are corinnou ones. 10
