A maze of new faces, mostly feminine, but who ' d ever think being with just girls could be so much fun. Jackie really showed hidden dramatic ability at the Oscar party. Those males from across town are most welcome, though. Studying does interfere with one ' s social life so. There ' s almost no time for home-sickness but my big sister is a welcome sight, and I need somebody to tell me exactly what Dr. Austin expects after two years of high school Latin. Tests all day from English to Motor Ability, library orientation and hand- book study, intermingled with night life at the Carnival, with pink lemonade, pop- corn, and Anna as the thinnest fat lady on record, and the Bermuda party around the flag pole with a combo, Japanese lanterns and 500 Wake Forest males to add a little interest, give new Salemites a kaleidoscope of life as it will be for the next four years around the si]uare.
