First Grade With the skilled leadership ofMrs. Lep- ley, this group is learning to read. The owls in the picture were drawn by the first graders. I In the fall of 1956, 15 first graders started their education. With Mrs. Lepley as their guide they learned many new things about our ,inf L world. i 0 0 The children brought clowns, ragdolls, and teddy-bears from home A ' as they talked about them in school. Second Grade Twenty-two students were enrolled in the second grade during the 1956-1957 school year. Mrs. Ringler instructed the children during their second year of school The children enjoyed participating in the Rhythm Band for a PTA program in the spring. Hal1owe'en and Christmas were cele- brated by the children with parties. ln the picture above several of the second grade students are working puzzles during their recess. ROW 1: K. Beers, M.
