Fourth Grade Birthdays, Ha11owe'en, Christmas, and Va1entine's Day were observed by the fourth grade. The children took a bus trip to the Indiana East-West T011 Road. They en- joyed ice cream at the Gene Stratton Porter service area. When they returned they made a scrapbook which included the Souvenirs of their IMP' ings on the wall were made by fellow students of the third and fourth grades. Fifth Grade The fifth grade of 1956-1957 had a derson from Stroh entered their class in the fall. They had a spelling contest, a hike to the woods with refreshments and a Christmas exchange. I 7' Second Grade The third grade students were divided between two rooms this year. Thirteen stu- dents were tmder the supervision of Miss Parsell in the third grade room. Twelve of the students shared the second grade room with Mrs. Ringler as their instructor. The children enjoyed a visit to the In- diana Toll Road.
