Seniors President Don Goertzen Vlce Presldent John Wood Secretary Laura Buhler Treasurer Vnrgmua Blevms and Class Advnser Mr Ronald Lush dud a fme 'ob un maknng our Sensor year a happy and successful one Four years ago Salem Academy was fnrst started At that tume 16 of thus year s graduatmg Sensors were then Freshmen This was the flrst group to complete fodr years work at the Academy They are Laura and Ella Buhler Harvey Classen Wnllue Helnruchs Bob Un ger Josephlne Hildebrand Betty Relmer Ruth Thles sen Don Thlessen Bette Frlesen Don Goertzen Dean Walter Sam Wlens Marllyn Fern Leola Wall and Evelyn Stephens The Sensor Class chose red and white roses as the class flowers and blue and gold were selected as the class colors The motto ns Today we follow tomor row we lead Suttle Lake was the scene of the Senior Sneak May 30 3l A merry group of young people left early later Horseback rldung hlknng swnmmlng fnshlng soft ball and boating were the wholesome sports en loyed by the group After the actlvltles of the day were at an end a bug bonfure was bullt on the lakeshore where everyone roasted wneners and the dlnner was served plcnrc style After group slnglng and devotlons a weary but happy bunch retured for the nnght After another happy day of recreatlonal actuvltnes the Sensors made their homeward trek reluctantly Among other actlvltles that highlighted the year were a plcnlc class skate and dress up day We have many happy memories of our school years and of the splendid teachmg nn a Chrnstran atmosphere Page I7 , . , l .
