V1 FROM xliesident: Chris Tern Smith, Seniors -- it hardly seems possible Remember when we . were bewildered freshmen, trying to orient ourselves to the new atmosphere of high school? That seems like a very short time ago, but then, even this year has flown. Throughout the fa ristmas and All-occasion cards. In fact, anyone who would like a box of cards at a discount, see Mr. Gilchrist. Carrying on the standard of being first, we had the first dance ofthe school-year. The Darn Sock Hop saw ' everyone put his best foot forward in gaily colored and patterned socks. ll we trudged from door to door with our Ch ' The gym was amazingly transformed the night of the Blue A 1 B nge all. A giant Christmas tree stood majestically in the center of the floor while our blue ange1s guarded heavenly ground. The crowning of the queen, Patricia Birmingham, and the King, Mark Bloom, added further magic to the night. We hope succeeding classes will follow us in this first. The seniors really burned the midnight oil to get the yearbook out. We went flying down the hall in pursuit of write-ups and flying up the hall in pursuit of ad to accomplish, that for a whi whether this book would appear. s. There was so much work le we doubted Mr. Senior fficers Nervous! that is the only word to describe us before the senior play. Excitedly, the cast at all those people out there. whispered Look But with Mr. Gilchrist as helmsman, we steered a straight course and the play was a triumph. Well, the ship has weathered every storm- Y the prize we sought is won. From now on we will each follow individualcareers.
