Fulfillment of these dreams was an ambition that conquered disillusions and hardships. From Salamanca to Hollywood, and back to Salamanca again to visit the town where a dream was born, Ray Evans showed his appreciation for the town that harbored him. Ray Evans and Jay Livingston, his partner, have followed the same pattern for their writing' ever since 1937. Success seemed a far goal until in 1941 when they teamed up with Olsen and Johnson.
