1966 J iis 7s tfie t)ear 7f iat l.)as . . . A memorable one from registra- tion day to final exams. Not so eager to resume studies, but rather to re- new old friendships, the students at Saks High School returned to the con- fusing beginning weeks of school af- ter what seemed to be the “shortest summer ever . The confusion soon subsided to begin a year filled with both joy and sadness. The ex- citement of the first touchdown of the season, a casual smile and conversation with friends, the countless hours of study that seem to be spent in failure, and the mixed emotions of grad- uating seniors, combine to make these elements part of the life of each student at Saks High School. As the year draws to a close, the student body looks ahead to the future, but memories of the past are not pushed aside. The many changing events of their lives cause them to glance back and remember that . . . THIS IS THE YEAR THAT WAS . . . I 1965- 966 TREE OF CONTENTS CP, rincipa f HARRIS E.
