During this past Marian Year, the Holy Name So- ciety was honored to have Reverend Paul Ubingeer, C.P., at their Breakfast. Father related his experi- ences as a prisoner of the Chinese Reds. Another noted figure who graced the Communion Ban- quet table on Sunday No- vember 13, was Dr. Clarence Walton. His eloquent words and gracious manner added an intellectual atmosphere to the gathering. The men received guidance and in- spiration from this talk. Through active participation in monthly First Friday Communion, the male student is prepared for Holy Name Sunday, which becomes their monthly Communion duty, after graduation. The Holy Name Society altortls the young men in the high school an opportunity to actively demonstrate their Catholic Faith. Togetlier with the men of the parish they pledge to hold sacred the holy name of Jesus Christ and once each month on the Second Sunday unite in a group to receive llis liocly and lllootl in lloly toinmunion.
