Junior Class Officers The pastyear has been an event- ful one for the juniors. They have distinguished themselves in scholas- tic achievement, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. Nine juniors received honor letters for outstanding achievement in their respective studies. While over one- third of the varsity football team was comprised of juniors, two members deserve special mention, they are Mel Klump, who was voted most valuable player, and Al Poelker, who was named to the C. A.C. all-star team. The juniors sponsored the Teacher of the Week interviews, and also the Turkey Turnabout at which the practice of having a coat check was initiated. Kathy Bishop, Barb Karstedt, and Gail Westenberger won superior ratings in the interscholastic speech meet. Kathy Anger, and again Gail Westenberger, displayed their talents in the school play, Meet Me in Saint Louis. Many juniors also participated in the Christmas concert.
