1 U RELIGIO H There is a time to be born, and a time to die, says Solomon, and it is the memento of a truly wise man, but there is an interval between these two times of infinite importance. --Richmond The members of the Religion Department strive to help students to fill this interval of time by incorporating within their classes Christian atti- tudes and ideals. Students have found the large and varied selection of religion courses provoca- tive and stimulating. These courses are aimed at generating a mature understanding of religious beliefs and traditions. It is the hope of the de- partment that Christian values and convictions will be deepened. Within the school community, students see and experience in a practical way an application of these principles. Student projects stemming from their instruction have included visits to orphan- ages and state homes, assistance to flood victims, and food and clothing collections for the poor. .lim Gover and Phil Steffen trace the journeys of Saint Paul.
