5? i Ring Day .S l ...J HAPPINESS IS YOUR SENIOR CLASS RING-The proudest pos- session of a Senior is his class ring. I don't think J. Geraci, C. Hawkins, and K. Lozecki would disagree as they show off their rings to Sister Celestine. THEY TAGGED ME! Senior C. Becker is the victim of C. Barrett as he enters the Chinese Hall of Fame and Fortune at the Ring Day Dance. SOLEMN AT LAST-Though you seldom see a senior without a smile Ring Day is one day happiness was felt in the heart and a quiet stillness lingered over the senior classes. JUNIORS SHOW SPIRIT-To add to the joy of Senior Ring Day the church resounded with the angelic voices of the Juniors who were accompanied by Sister Carole and Sister Marie Therese.

Forensics This year the forensic pro- gram at Saint Michael became one of the leading activities in the school. Under the direction of lVlr. Bobinski, moderator, and chapter president James lVlcKibben, our NFL chapter now ranks with the leading schools in the Pittsburgh district. Apart from participating every weekend at district tourna- ments, our chapter has hosted five events here, and has sponsored several service projects. lt is difficult for a school of our size to maintain itself among the large schools in our district, but the enthusiasm of our twently-one members has enabled us to keep on top. The motto of our chapter and of our Sigma Lambda Sigma honor society is I Call a Spade a Spade, and the record of our chapter in student congress, extemp, and orig- inal oratory proves that our motto does indeed express the spirit of our chapter. Although thirteen of our members will graduate, our ex- ceptional underclass members will provide a nucleus around which to continue to build an ever growing NFL program here at Saint Michael. WE'RE GREAT! Underclassmen NFL members under the guidance of Mr. John Bobinski, share their knowledge with each other and aim to keep the spirit high at St. Michael's. MONEY PROBLEMS! The NFL officers, P. Muchler, J. McKibben, N. Tupi, and B. Paw- Iowski share their financial problems with Mr. John Bobinski, their moderator. IT WAS WORTH lT . . . is the advise of the outgoing NFL seniors, P. Muchler, B. Meixner, R. Yotz, J. McKibben N. Tupi, D. Dugas, D. Donovan, P. Birek, K. Corcoran B. Pawlowski, J. Hudson, J. Daugherty to all those who will be NFL future members. l 41
