This summer: Saint Mary’s chosen by National Defense Foreign Language Program as the site for one of its French Institutes, June to August. In addition to undergraduate students, recent almunae are also working as lay missionar¬ ies in many parts of the world, and as Peace Corps Volunteers in the Philippines and in South America . His¬ tory-conscious observers point out that the three Saint Mary } s members of the Peace Corps in Chili parallel two earlier graduates who went there just before the turn of the century .
