2' l, i F A S F r E L it r L 6 In the past fifteen years three corner- stones have been blessed and set in brick and mortar on our campus: Alumnae Li- brary, Saint Mary's Science Hall, Moreau Hall. Their sequence indicates something of the mind of the college and its admin- istration, something of the growth of the school in terms of its past no less than its present and future. For fifty years faculties and students have dreamed of all three buildings. For a much longer future faculties and students will grow to the fine intellectual statures which these faculties inspire and stimulate. On the cornerstone of Moreau Hall this text from Chesterton has been incised: Art is the signature of man? Since man is a child of God his signature is that of his Father.
