In September they were back at the college to join in the fun of Freshman Welcome Week. There were parties in the Rec and the clubhouse. informal gatherings in big sisters' rooms, the faculty-fresh- man tea, all designed to make little sisters feel at home in their home away from home. The tradi- tional Madonna Night in early October enjoined within it a double symbolism: the statues, a re- minder that we are Our Lady's childreng the cere- mony itself, a plea to her to watch over and pro- tect us. e ZHIIOVS Mary Ellen Sloan, Mary Margaret Herr, Adalyn Pawlowski, Louise McGlynn, Marianne Aschoff Mary Louise Kelly, june Mulvihill.
