As Cardi- nal Pacelli, in May 1938, he offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and preached, the Academy girls being privileged to attend the service. Americans feel another kinship with our present Holy Father: as Cardinal Pacelli, he paid a Hying visit to this land. Xve of St. Paul are proud to boast that we saw him in person, we of St. .Ioseplfs Academy, that we assisted at the Pontifical High Mass he celebrated here. The Catholic Church rests as safely under the guidance of Pope Pius XII as she did with his great predecessor, Pope Pius XI, Our present Pope is an eloquent linguist, a diplomat whose finger is on the pulse of international affairs, and a Christlilce leader who has given evidences of deep spirituality. , ,2- e H we 11, if
