Richard Walshak, Presidentg Robert Peetz, Vice-Presidentg Carol Meyer, Secretaryg Lorraine Bach, Treasurer. Marilyn Sestak, Presiclentg John Koe- nig, Vice-Presidentg William Bauer, Secretaryg Wilson Renne, Treasurer. These sophomores are a cheerful group, un- usually interested in every phase of school life and eager to improve upon the first year of their high school careers. Tenth grade has made them a recognized part of the upper classmen, and their school attitude has changed correspondingly. Study period proctors report these groups as having extremely industrious study periods. In general,' such industry and interest as dis- played by these groups ought to produce one of the best graduating classes of St. Joseph High School in 1956. Sophomores turn out some of the best scholas- tic work done in our high school. Their schedule is not too heavy, and the extra time on their SDOIQAOITEOVQ CIM, hands was used to advantage, especially in bio- logy and English projects. In debate work, three of their number made the Av team. In fact, the whole group of soph- omores have gained a name for a tendency to argue and to prove their point. Seniors are grateful to the sophs and their report teachers for splendid cooperation in all activities sponsored by the seniors, reminding them that a group which cooperates with other groups when asked to do so, usually merits co- operation in return. Seniors also hope that these promising students wil-l keep first things first all through their school life and afterward.

Full of spirit and perseverance, the junior class of 202 were eager students who were intrigued by the new world of learning they discovered this year. Exploring in unison the mysteries of the chemical world and the mechanical perplexi- ties of the typewriter, they managed to find time to participate vigorously in all school activities. Led by dynamic class officers, the juniors were ready boosters of the 1954 Pendulum and co- sponsored the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dances held for the benefit of the junior-Senior Prom. Everyone will recall the hilarious moments they provided in the skit pro- duced for the first Pep Rally. We're proud to have known them and we hope that the juniors of 202 become one of the very best senior class- es that ever attended St, Joseph High. unior C4155 Lively and industrious are the two most ap- propriate adjectives to describe the junior class of 102. Already speaking Spanish with accents all their own and taking shorthand with the aplomb of experienced stenographers, they pooled their efforts to become a harmonious unit in whatever they undertook. Blending perfectly in- to the roles of upperclassmen, they were the backbone of the operetta, sharing leads and sup- porting roles in a coalition of talent and hard work. Under the guidance of enthusiastic officers, they helped plan the prom and worked ardently to make it as wonderful as possible. Boosting school morale, they attended both girls' and boys, basketball games and cheered 1u'stily-win or lose. Our hats are off to this plucky group and we wish them the best for 1955! Henry Fix, Presidentg Janet Fara- baugh, Vice-Presiclentg Nancy Lam- berger, Secretary, Joanne Glaid, Treasurer. Raymond Clemence, Presidentg John Roell, Vice-Presidentg Anna Rose Zirngible, Secretaryg Marilyn Meyer, Treasurer.
