Seniors capture class competition during Homecoming Homecoming was a full and spirited week as traditional activities were continued for 1974. Princess Linda Crandall was crowned as 1974 Homecoming Queen by '73 Queen, Laurie Brock during the Rally on Thursday evening. Class competition during Homecoming week resulted in a close contest between juniors and seniors. The seniors were victorious with f250 points to the juniors' 237. The sophomores earned 87-1! 2 points. The Spirit Plaque was presented to the senior class president, Dennis Baer, during halftime ceremonies after a thrilling per- formance by the band. Points were earned for the senior class by Rose Dziadik on Clash Day and Cathy Dougherty on Scrud Day, while the Homecoming skit at the rally entitled Goldilion and the Three Griz- zlies earned them 100 points. Mike K. Johnson earned Scrud Day points for the juniors and John Parsons for the sophomores while Greg Harris brought off Clash Day for the juniors. Goldilion was sleeping in the Bears' bed while they romped on the field, scoring 39 points to the Lions 14. The attitude of defeat did not prevail when a fair crowd turned out to listen and dance to the music of a Beaverton band, Eruption, Queen Linda and her court performed their last act of royalty as they reigned over this traditional finale of the Homecoming week festivities.
